Surprise Party for Jesus!

Throw a Surprise Birthday Party for Jesus !!!

On Sunday morning we got to the church before everyone else and when they came in, we greeted them by blowing B-Day noise makers.

The first persons at church were Bro. & Sis Hopkins, so we hid behind the corner and when they came in we jumped out and blew the little horns and said "Surprise! Happy Birthday Jesus!!!" Well, they were completely surprised...(because we didn't tell them what we were doing. :)

So we gave them noisemakers too and they joined in the fun (after their heart palpitations stopped) and helped us surprise the Hawkins ...and then we all surprised the Riddlespurges....and so on..and so on. It got L-O-U-D!! Ha! (it was funny to hear the little kids SS class...the poor teacher had to calm them all down and try to get them put their noisemakers away...but I could hear them in my class for a while....hahahhaahhaha.....love it!!)

However, even though I had my camera with me, we were having so much fun that I forgot to take pictures of the SURPRISED people!

Everyone who arrived before 9:45 was greeted with someone blowing horns and yelling "Surprise! Happy Birthday Jesus!!". Ha!

We had them all go to the fellowship hall instead of the sanctuary for the preliminaries to see the big mural we had put up.

We had ordered the mural at Oriental Trading Co. online and thought it was going to be a lot smaller and we could put it in the foyer...but it was MASSIVE, so it had to go to the fellowship hall. I even cut off 5-10 feet of it!!! It is also made to go around a corner and take up two walls of a regular room. It took us 3 visits to the church to put it together. It would have only been 2 visits, but we had to stop once....go home and watch an AL football game and then come back and finish it. Ha! It was a little more involved than I thought, but I think it turned out great!

Mike welcomed everyone to the Surprise Party and after a little festivity....asked everyone, "But what if Jesus Christ had never been born?"

WHAT IF JESUS HAD NOT BEEN BORN!!

No one in history has ever impacted the world, as has Jesus Christ. What if Jesus had never been born? What would the world, your life, be like if Jesus Had Never Been Born?

There would be no Emmanuel “God With Us”.
There would be no way to come to the Heavenly Father.
There would be no Redeemer, no salvation from our sin.
There would be no mediator between God and man,
There Would Be No God To Identify With Us!
We would not be Joint Heirs with Christ
There would be no Grace, Mercy, Peace, Truth or Love
There would be no Freedom
There would be no abundant life
We would be destroyed by Satan.
The serpent would not be crushed,
Evil would win in our world instead of him.
We would not be delivered,
There Would Be No Hope Of Resurrection:
There would be no Second Coming
We would not experience eternal life.
Death would not be conquered.
There would be no victory.
There would be no Hope.

If the man Christ Jesus would not have been born.
We would remain dead in our trespasses and sins,
the veil would not be rent,
Prophecies would remain unfulfilled,
The New Testament would never have been written.
and God would be a liar.

BUT Fear not! For, behold, I bring you good tiding of great joy, which shall be to all people.
For unto us was born in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever.

Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men!!!
